There are two ways to initiate posting of a resume. Each will take you to a blank form to enter a new resume:
- Click the "Resumes" Tab.
- Click the "Post Resume" link.
- Click the "My Account" link.
- Click the "my resumes" link.
- Click the "Post Resume" link.
First, ensure that the location you have selected (indicated in the top left-hand corner, next to the UberJobs logo) is the location in which you are looking for work. If not, then click on the "choose location" link in the top right-hand corner to select a new location.
Remember that any information that you put in this resume will be "public information" as soon as you post it, so consider carefully before you decide to include personal information such as your full name, address, phone number, or email address.
There are only nine fields to fill out on this form:
Resume Title: This is a free-form text field where you should indicate the position you are seeking, your specialty, or some other label to identify your resume.
Resume Category: From the pull-down list, select the category for this resume, skill set, or the position sought. This field helps to organize the resumes and makes it easier (and faster) for employers to find resumes. (If you don't see the category here, pick one that is close. If that isn't good enough, suggest another one.)
Area: This is a free text field for you to further specify the area you are seeking work within your location. (You might, for example, indicate the part of town where you wish to work.) If you discover that you really want to post your resume in a different location, then click "choose location" and select a different city or region before you start entering your resume.
Description: This is where you put the body of your resume. You can type it in manually, or you can paste in a selection from a word processor or other document. This is a rich text field, so you can do limited formatting such as bold, underline, italics, bullets, indenting, etc., and the UberJobs search engine will still find all your data.

Desired Wage: Indicate the wage that you are looking for - with or without the dollar sign or commas. Use the next field to indicate whether this wage is per hour or per year.
Per Hour / Per Year Indicator: Use this field to indicate whether the wage you indicated above is per hour or per year.
Job Type: From the pull-down list, select whether the job you are seeking is indeterminate (permanent) employment full-time or part-time, contract, internship (such as a summer work-term), or a gig (a one-time contract job).
Public: Selecting Public here will make your resume and all its content visible to anyone clicking on the UberJobs site. Selecting Private will allow you to save your resume and keep it hidden until you want to send it to a potential employer or post it for all to see.
Captcha Validation: Before a resume is saved, users must type in the cryptic characters that they see in the window above this field. This ensures that only humans are using our site, and that spammers and hackers are not preventing UberJobs users from using the site.
